Cheating 101

BACK TO BASICS, A QUICK & DIRTY REVIEW

You heard it from your mother many times, “Cheaters never win.” And she was right. But in this case, cheaters always win, because (winning means losing).  THE CHEATER’S DIET guides you in the art of cheating, helping you to be the biggest loser ever—up to twenty pounds in eight weeks.

The definition of cheating:
Isn’t “cheating” what always kills our valiant efforts to lose a few pounds? We’re so fearful of it, yet it feels so damn good. Who doesn’t like being a little “naughty” once in a while, honestly? STEP 1: Get a grip on your schedule.  You’ll be planning trips to the gym, stocking up on staples at the grocery store, deciding when to cook and when to eat out, and knowing when and how you’ll likely cheat during the week.

STEP 2: Reach for the best of the best.  In each chapter, you’ll understand how to fit great quality, fresh food into your life, shop for it and/or cook it easily and inexpensively. You’ll master how to plan for the week ahead—snacks, simple lunches and breakfasts, and quick, healthy weeknight dinners.

STEP 3: Strategize, write it out, and conquer.  Start writing or typing.  Painful as it sounds, keeping a food journal (and upping accountability) is a sure-thing to achieve success.  Even for those moments when cheating is inevitable—like eating out while traveling, special occasions, emotional eating and snack attacks—you’ll have the tools for maintaining confident meal and snack choices, staying proactive about your health and making great food work to your advantage.  You come out ahead because you’re thinking more strategically, playing the game smarter, not harder.  That’s what cheating’s all about.
